Henshall throws 2-hit shutout for Glenbard North
Glenbard North defeated Naperville Central 1-0 Saturday on a two-hitter by Logan Henshall, who struck out five and didn’t walk anyone. Ryan Storto scored the game’s only run for Glenbard North in the sixth inning.

At Elstrom Stadium in Geneva, Mike Atkinson threw a four-hitter, striking out 3 without a walk, for the Raiders against their cross-town rival. Doron Blake drove in 2 runs for Glenbard South. Glenbard West earlier defeated Proviso West 18-3 and 8-2 in a West Suburban Silver doubleheader.
St. Francis 6, Westminster Christian 3:
In Elgin, Eric Bacon (6-2) got the victory in relief for St. Francis (14-12) when the Spartans scored 5 runs in the top of the ninth. Jack Petrando went 3-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases.
Hinsdale South 7-7, Addison Trail 1-3:
Emmanuel Morris and Mike Marrera earned the victories on the mound for Hinsdale South in a West Suburban Gold sweep in Addison.
Naperville North 8, Glenbard East 4:
Mariano Long was the winning pitcher, with relief help from Colin Ash, giving up just 1 earned run between them. Conner Adamski scored twice for Naperville North.
Riverside-Brookfield 5, Wheaton Academy 2:
Alexander McNally went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Warriors in a nonconference loss in West Chicago.
Wheaton North 3, West Aurora 0:
Junior Lake Bachar threw a two-hitter in the Falcons’ shutout of a DuPage Valley Conference foe. Jake Schieber went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.
Montini 4, Morton 0:
Eddie Bava went 2-for-3 with 3 runs scored and Ben Dobosenski was 2-for-3 with a RBI for Montini (14-13) in the nonconference game.
Lake Park 4-12, East Aurora 2-1:
Lake Park (16-11, 12-7 Upstate Eight Conference Valley) got 2 runs and 2 RBI from Nicolas Chaidez in a doubleheader in Aurora. Sammy Pellegrino was 3-for-3 with 3 runs and an RBI, and Juan Aguayo added 2 RBI.
Metea Valey 1-3, Waubonsie Valley 0-5:
Junior Adam Cielinski got the victory for Metea Valley when the Mustangs’ Michael Mooney drove in Billy Sheeren with the game’s only run in the bottom of the 12th inning in Game 1 in Aurora.
