SEDOL Foundation welcomes newest member

SEDOL Foundation welcomes newest member, Garrick J. Hodge, to their board of directors. Mr. Hodge brings his vast experience in Litigation and Regulation Law as a Divisional Vice President and Interim Chief Compliance Officer at Walgreen Co., the nation's largest drugstore chain with more than 7,800 stores nationwide.

"I've been lucky to represent Walgreens as an active supporter of SEDOL Foundation for almost fifteen years," said Hodge. "Continuing on as a board member seemed like a natural fit. I look forward to working with such a fine organization."

Hodge comes from a family very familiar with the SEDOL Programs. His older brother, Gordon, was a SEDOL student in grade school in the 1960s. Several years ago, as a Special Olympian, Gordon won three gold medals for Team USA in snow shoe race events in the 2005 World Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, and he remains an active volunteer with Special Olympics in Wisconsin.

Hodge's son participated in the 0-2 year and 3-5 year SEDOL speech programs and is now majoring in broadcast journalism at Western Illinois University.

"You'll be surprised at how significant of a difference you can make in the lives of special needs children and their families. Everyone can contribute, and it is so easy," says Hodge.

"We look forward to Garry bringing his knowledge and business insight into the SEDOL Foundation Boardroom," says Ann Subry, SEDOL Foundation Executive Director. "We are very pleased to welcome Garry Hodge to the SEDOL Foundation Board."
