Inverness to hold Arbor Day celebration Monday

The village of Inverness will host an Arbor Day celebration at 4:30 p.m. Monday at village hall, 1400 Baldwin Road.

The event, which marks the 21st consecutive year Inverness was named a Tree City USA, will include a tree-planting ceremony, refreshments and raffle for 25 clump flowering crabapple trees.

The village’s Tree Commission also will award Village President Jack Tatooles its Arbor Day Citizen of the Year and announce winners of its Arbor Day program cover contest.
