Elgin Lions sponsor hearing bus May 15

On Tuesday, May 15, the Elgin Lions Club will sponsor the Lions of Illinois Foundation Hearing Bus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gail Borden Public Library parking lot, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin.

The bus will provide a free screening for hearing problems. Due to situations beyond the control of the local Lions club, the retinopathy screening team from the Foundation that was tentatively scheduled for that date is unable to provide services at this time.

Members of the Elgin Lions Club will assist those who wish to have their hearing tested for free. If problems are detected, participants will be advised as to the best course of action for them to pursue.

The club meets at the Elgin Holiday Inn on the first Tuesday of every month except July and August. New members are welcome. For details, call the club at (847) 289-4206.
