Flooding closes a portion of Highway 41 in Wisconsin

OSHKOSH, Wis. — Heavy rain and flooding has closed part of a heavily traveled route in eastern Wisconsin.

Sheriff’s officials say Highway 41 is closed in both directions from Highway 26 in Winnebago County to county Highway N in Fond du Lac County. That’s a stretch of about six miles. Forecasters say more than 4 inches of rain fell in the area.

Strong thunderstorms are moving across the state and could redevelop later Thursday.
