Palatine homeless agency holds golf fundraiser June 21

Journeys from PADS to HOPE will hold its 8th Annual Golf for HOPE outing at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington.

The event includes golf on the 18-hole course, cart, practice driving range and putting green, continental breakfast, buffet luncheon, chair massage and goody bag. A shotgun start begins at 9 a.m. The fee is $175 per golfer.

Each year, the Palatine-based Journeys from PADS to HOPE provides supportive services, housing and emergency shelter to more than 1,000 suburban homeless people and at-risk individuals and families.
