Des Plaines Youth Commission thanks alderman

Submitted by Karen Kozenczak

Members and friends of the Des Plaines Youth Commission gathered at the Commission’s recent meeting at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker St., to officially recognize and thank 4th Ward Alderman Dick Sayad for his contribution to the Youth Commission’s Advisory Board.

Alderman Sayad recently contributed $500 from the money he receives from the city for serving as alderman to be used for scholarships for the senior members of the Youth Commission Advisory Board.

“I feel the Youth Commission does a lot of good work to help our young people. I believe their programs are valid and valuable,” Alderman Sayad said.
