Naperville’s TV station chronicles a typical day — extensively
Wednesday was perhaps the most well-documented day in Naperville’s history.
To commemorate its 25th anniversary, NCTV, the city’s community television station, dispatched nearly 20 videographers to spend 24 hours chronicling a day in the life of Naperville, modeled after famed director Ridley Scott’s “Life in a Day.”
One of the videographers was Jen Hannon, whose assignments included filming firefighters doing training exercises at Fire Station No. 4.
“This was one of six things I have to shoot today,” she said. “It has been busy,”
Hannon, a graduate of North Central College, is normally a reporter for NCTV and usually appear in front of the camera. But the change of pace, she said, was welcome.
“I love talking to folks,” she said, “and this has been a great day.”
