Aurora Green Fest going to be great

The Aurora Green Fest Committee is in full swing on our preparations for Aurora’s third annual green fest. As our chairman, I want to honor the members of the committee who are working so professionally and enthusiastically to make this Green Fest the best ever.

I want to thank Greg Iteen for his great work heading up our marketing effort. People helping him include Sarah Collyer, a great asset to our spiffy new website and chairman of our Solar System Raffle; Rebekah Axtell for great writing of our press releases; Karen Kulzer, who is phenomenal in so many ways, from our kids art show to entertainment booking, and Maureen Gasek, doing our downtown window.

Our volunteer chairman and chief what-about-the-details person is Linda Cole. Our vendor chairman and Constant Contact guru is Cynthia Allen. Jerre Henriksen is our incredibly professional sponsorship chairman, and keeps us on the straight and narrow of fundraising. Our treasurer is Natalie Hoyt, who can whip up a mean excel spreadsheet in almost no time at all. Judd Lofchie is working on the Green Car Show and hospitality.

Please be sure to attend the Aurora Green Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora. With all this work and dedication, it’s going to be great.
