Hoffman Estates Celtic Fest celebrates Irish and Scottish heritage

Hoffman Estates held its first ever Celtic Fest on Saturday, April 29 at the Sears Centre Arena to celebrate Irish and Scottish heritage in the suburbs.

Entertainment included a Midwest Pipe Band Association Mini Band Competition, Celtic vendors, an indoor soccer tournament, a golf clinic, a climbing wall, food, music, and a Scotch and beer tasting.

Hosting the Celtic Fest in April coincided with the observance of Scottish Heritage Month, which was proclaimed by the Illinois General Assembly in 2011.
