Only a bona fide princess is good enough for Prince Peter (Jake Bridges, St. Charles), the son of King Jasper (Bailey Marks, Elgin) and Queen Sarsaparilla (Samantha Shane, Downers Grove).
So the royal couple devises a plan to discover a true blue blood by placing a pea under 20 mattresses and 20 featherbeds in this musical version of “The Princess and the Magic Pea.”
Only a delicate and sensitive princess would be disturbed by a tiny little pea, and that certainly can't be unrefined and carefree Priscilla, (Lilly Hirt Nowak, Geneva) who has captured the Prince's heart! This adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen tale also features a wicked witch Zelda (Danielle Kyle, Elgin) who wants the prince, and the kingdom, for herself.
“The Princess and the Magic Pea” cast includes: Abby Kennedy, Sabrina Schlenker, Aidan Walker and Isabel Walker, all of Batavia; Briley Lenkaitis of Campton Hills; Nicolas Sole of Carol Stream; Samantha Shane of Downers Grove; Danielle Kyle and Bailey Marks of Elgin; Lilly Hirt Nowak of Geneva; Jake Bridges, Anna Calcagno, Allison Cole, Emma Foran, Shannon Foran and Alison White, all of St. Charles; Ivanna Kurywczak of South Elgin; Emma Wall and Meredith Wall of Wheaton; and Brianna Picardi of Winfield.
