Comcast volunteers build sensory garden at Little Angels

On April 21, more than 100 Comcast employees, families and friends volunteered to help the residents of Little Angels, a home in Elgin for children and young adults with severe disabilities.

Projects for the day included making bird houses and bird feeders to attract feathered friends to the grounds of the facility, building a wheelchair accessible tiki bar that residents can use during fundraising events, and planting a sensory garden in the courtyard featuring a butterfly garden.

Little Angels is a state-of-the-art facility offering round-the-clock skilled nursing, therapeutic and habilitation services in a warm, caring environment.

Since its inception in 2001, Comcast Cares Day has become one of the largest single days of corporate volunteering in the country. More than 67,000 Comcast volunteers participated in this annual day of service nationwide.
