Lombard holds tree tagging event for Arbor Day

The Village of Lombard, in cooperation with Morton Arboretum and Ecology Club students from Glenbard East High School, held a tree tagging event yesterday in celebration of Arbor Day.

The tree tagging event places “price tags” on trees in the neighborhood near Glenbard East and are intended to create awareness of the value of trees to the community.

The tags show in dollars the benefits that the trees provide to the community. They can be seen on west Wilson, Lincoln, south Elizabeth and south Edson. The students will be removing the tags in a couple of weeks.
