Candidate aims to improve office

My name is Cynthia Pruim Haran and I am running for Lake County circuit court clerk to make a difference — for the better.

I was a volunteer basketball coach, for both boys and girls, here in Lake County for 5 years. I coached, not only to teach the X’s and O’s of the game, but to positively impact the lives of those children; to teach them that hard work, determination and self-worth would bring success; to show them, by example, that we are all part of a bigger picture.

I run for clerk of the circuit court not only to address the failing X’s and O’s of that important office, but to improve the lives of those who work so hard in that office; to bring the circuit court clerk out of its hiding place in the basement of the courthouse and into the community it serves; To show that our elected officials should serve the community, be part of the “bigger picture,” and in every way possible improve the community which it serves, not simply collect a paycheck.
