MADISON, Wis. Wis. election officials issue reminder

— Early voting is under way in the Wisconsin recall election primaries.

In-person absentee voting began Monday in Wisconsin for the May 8 primaries in the recalls targeting Gov. Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and four Republican state Senate seats.

There are Democratic primaries in all six of the races. Walker also faces a challenger running as a Republican, Walker opponent and frequent Capitol protester Arthur Kohl-Riggs. None of the other Republicans running have challengers.

Early voting can be done until the close of business May 4 at municipal clerks’ offices.

Voters can view a sample ballot and verify that they are registered by checking their name on the Government Accountability Board website at https://vpa.wi.gov.
