Inconsistency in government thinking

Federal agencies are fighting in the courts to approve their mandate of placing graphic images on cigarette packs. Isn’t this the same federal government that doesn’t want sonograms shown to pregnant women when they are considering birth control options? It’s all right to show dead people, but not living organisms. So, it appears that “they” would prefer that you weren’t born, but if you are, you must conform to their rules!
