Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field

TV: Comcast SportsNet Friday; WGN Saturday and Sunday

Radio: WGN 720-AM

Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Chris Volstad (0-1) vs. Homer Bailey (0-2) Friday at 1:20 p.m.; Paul Maholm (0-2) vs. Mike Leake (0-1) Saturday at 12:05 p.m.; Ryan Dempster (0-1) vs. Johnny Cueto (1-0) Sunday at 1:20 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs were expected to be bad, and they are, with a 3-10 record. The Reds, however, were picked by many to win the NL Central, but they're off to a 5-8 start. They beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3 Thursday. If the Reds don't pick it up soon, former Cubs manager Dusty Baker may find his job in Cincinnati in jeopardy. Former Cubs setup man Sean Marshall earned his second save Thursday. He has a 2.08 ERA. Brandon Phillips (. 235) hit his first homer of the season. The Cubs were 7-11 against the Reds last year, 5-4 at home.

Next: St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field, Monday-Wednesday
