Hoffman taxi discount program offered

The village of Hoffman Estates’ free Taxi Discount Program is open to all eligible residents who are 60 years or older, have a disability or meet income criteria. Participants receive 10 coupons free each month, and each coupon is valued at $5.

The response to this Taxi Discount Program has been positive, and many residents are finding it helpful.

Taxi coupons can be used for any purpose, such as doctor appointments, grocery store visits and trips to the airport, as long as the ride begins or ends in Hoffman Estates. Three taxi companies currently accept the village coupons.

Program details and registration forms can be found online, www.hoffmanestates.org/transportation, under the “Public Transit” section.
