Inverness-based PHD to host annual Gala fundraiser April 28

The Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity, PHD, will host its annual Spirit of Life Gala Saturday, April 28, at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre in Hoffman Estates.

The gala is the Inverness-based agency’s largest event, raising more than $170,000 each year to support programs and services for women who are pregnant or parenting young children. Guests will enjoy cocktails, auctions, raffles, dinner and dancing to music by Lori Shane and the Mix.

Past PHD board President Maureen Durack of Arlington Heights will be honored with the agency’s Spirit of Life Award, and a client will speak of the support she received after experiencing postpartum depression symptoms.

Tickets are $175. Raffle tickets for the chance to win $1,500 are $40 each or 3 for $100. Register at sphd.org. For more information, call (847) 359-4967, ext. 25.
