Republican House Speaker Boehner Endorses Romney for Nominee

House Speaker John Boehner today said he will be “proud to support Mitt Romney” as the Republican presidential nominee and will “do everything I can to help him win.”

Boehner, an Ohio Republican who had been neutral in the party’s presidential nominating contest, told reporters in Washington that it’s now “clear” that Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, will be the standard-bearer.
