Lindenhurst bike path grant:

Lindenhurst has received a $250,000 state grant to be used for completion of a bicycle path. Officials said the recently received cash will go toward finishing the path along Grand Avenue, from Munn Road to Deep Lake Road. Mayor Susan Lahr said the money allows the village to “move forward with the completion of a key path linkage identified by Lindenhurst residents as a priority.” When finished, the path will connect Engle Memorial Park/Lindenhurst Community Center to Lake Villa Township Public Library. It also will allow pedestrians safer access between those points.
