Palatine Senior Center director to lead national group

Carol Reagan, executive director of the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council, which operates the Palatine Township Senior Center and the Caring Hearts Adult Day Care, was installed as chairwoman of the National Council on Aging’s National Institute of Senior Centers at the “Aging in America” Conference March 28, in Washington, D.C.

The national group is an organization of professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults through the strengthening of senior centers’ programs and services, advocacy and promotion of national standards. Reagan has served National Institute of Senior Centers for the past 10 years as chair-elect, treasurer and as the delegate from Illinois. She has been the executive director of the Palatine senior council for 13 years.
