No big, shiny bow on health care law

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan was quoted on the front page of the March 29 Daily Herald as asking, “Why is a big gift from the federal government a matter of coercion?”

I respectfully ask a different question of Justice Kagan: Why is a taxpayer/federal debt/insurance-premium-paying private citizen-funded health care program a big gift from the federal government?
