Comcast volunteers to beautify Knoch Knolls Park on Sat., April 21

Across the country Comcast employees gather once a year for a day of service to their communities. This year, the Naperville Park District's Knoch Knolls Park will benefit from the enthusiastic efforts of a large group of volunteers on Comcast Cares Day 2012.

Comcast volunteers plan to work alongside Park District staff at Knoch Knolls from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sat., April 21. Projects will include pulling teasel and other invasive plants, planting prairie seeds, and picking up litter.

“We were excited to learn that Knoch Knolls was chosen as a site for the 2012 Comcast Cares Day,” said Naperville Park District Volunteer Coordinator Lynnette Hoole. “Knoch Knolls is one of our largest natural areas, where volunteers can make a difference in restoring the prairie and woodland habitats.”

The Naperville Park District welcomes corporate groups as well as other community groups and individuals as volunteers in the parks. Volunteers can schedule a project at a park by contacting Lynnette Hoole at lhoole@napervilleparks.org or 630-848-3606.
