Taxes didn’t pay for billboard
Regarding an April 10 letter to the editor referencing a truck safety billboard located on Rt. 53 being paid for by tax dollars: I want to personally assure anyone concerned that no taxpayer funds went to pay for that public announcement. As part of a commercial carrier enforcement grant, we are required to have a public education component. That billboard was part of that requirement and was fully funded by a donation from the Clear Channel, hence no taxpayer dollars either federally or locally were used.
