West Lafayette man killed by concrete truck

Associated Press

SHADELAND, Ind. — Police say the construction worker killed when a concrete delivery truck tipped over into the pit for an in-ground swimming pool was a 55-year-old West Lafayette man.

The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department William Harrison was pronounced dead after emergency crews freed him Wednesday at a home in the community of Shadeland.

Homeowner Mike Adams tells the Journal & Courier of Lafayette that Harrison was among three men who were standing outside the truck and he saw the other two get out of the way.

Police say the concrete truck’s driver wasn’t hurt.
