Two electronic collections:

Two free electronic collection events are set for Saturday, April 14, in Lake County. One is 8 a.m. to noon at the Metra train station in Mundelein, 205 N. Archer Ave., and the other is 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Long Grove at the Archer Municipal parking lot (enter from Old McHenry Road). Visit www.swalco.org/ for more information regarding accepted items or other details. As of Jan. 1, electronic items such as televisions, monitors, computers and printers are banned from landfills and no longer allowed in the regular trash.
