Night burn on family farm
Ecologist Steve Apfelbaum and a crew from Applied Ecological Services will oversee a night burn of his family farm from 6 p.m. to midnight Wednesday in Juda, Wis., northwest of Beloit. About 80 acres of restored prairie, savanna and wetland will be burned to reduce invasive nonnative plant species. The farm is at N6773 Mill Road. Visit www.appliedeco.com
