Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Chris Volstad (0-0) vs. Shaun Marcum (0-0) Monday at 6:05 p.m.; Paul Maholm (0-0) vs. Chris Narveson (0-0) Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.; Ryan Dempster (0-0) vs. Yovani Gallardo (0-1) Wednesday at 1:20 p.m.; Matt Garza (0-0) vs. Zack Greinke (1-0) Thursday at 1:20 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs will welcome back their former third baseman, Aramis Ramirez. Last year the Cubs were 6-10 against the Brewers, 5-2 at Wrigley Field. Volstad and Maholm will be making their Cubs debuts as the Cubs complete their first turn of the starting rotation. Against the Brewers, Volstad is 1-1 with a 1.71 ERA in 4 career starts. Cubs manager Dale Sveum played for the Brewers and served as their hitting coach. He also was their interim manager at the end of 2008, leading them into the playoffs.
