Fiat and Chrysler aim to increase sales up to 10% in 2012
Fiat SpA and Chrysler Group LLC expect to increase sales by as much as 10 percent to 4.4 million vehicles in 2012, Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne said Wednesday at the annual general meeting of the Italian carmaker.
Marchionne said Fiat and Chrysler expects to post sales between 4.1 million and 4.4 million cars in 2012 from 4 million in 2011. He also said the group expects to boost sales and gain market share in North America.
Marchionne also confirmed Fiat and Chrysler’s targets for 2012, including more than 77 billion euros in revenue.
Fiat owns 58.5 percent of Chrysler.
