Can it be just coincidence?

I see that Daily Herald Senior VP/Editor, John Lampinen, sounds offended at allegations, specifically a Bill O’Reilly column, that the mainstream media press has a liberal bias. Mr. Lampinen contends that there may be effects in the media that are “subconscious but not manipulative”. He contends that assertions to the contrary are “absolutely reckless and harmful.”

Really? I wonder if he reads The New York Times, or Newsweek magazine, or watches network news.

Even closer to home, may I ask Mr. Lampinen about something observed in his own paper? Does Congressman Joe Walsh never smile? Or does the Herald simply not have any photos of Rep. Walsh smiling? Why is it that whenever Rep. Walsh’s image appears in the Herald, he looks angry, befuddled, or contorted? In contrast, his congressional opponent, Tammy Duckworth, always appears either jovial, thoughtful, or sympathetic.

Coincidence? Wonder what Bill O’Reilly would say?
