Carol Stream baby sitter charged with sex assault on girl, 4

Ricardo Tolentino was supposed to baby-sit a 4-year-old, but instead he sexually assaulted her in his apartment, authorities said Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Carol Stream man was indicted Tuesday on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Tolentino is accused of committing two sex acts against the girl on at least one occasion between Feb. 14 and March 14, according to court records.

Authorities said he knew the victim and assaulted her in his apartment on the 700 block of Bluff Street when he was supposed to be looking after her.

Tolentino was arrested after an investigation by the DuPage County Children’s Center and Carol Stream police.

He remained jailed Wednesday on $750,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment Monday in front of Judge John Kinsella.

If convicted of both charges, Tolentino could be sentenced to consecutive prison terms of three to 30 years.
