Show that you care about our air
Science and research proved decades ago that pollution ingested in humans and animals causes a myriad of medical disorders and diseases that can be prevented by changing how humans and industry abuse our air. Everything that goes into the air, at some point, falls down on to the ground and makes its way into the water tables or goes up into the atmosphere and comes down in the rain and snow. Whichever way it goes, the ultimate damage is to our planet and our bodies.
Our government established agencies to manage air quality based on these known facts, yet many of our elected officials continue to attempt to erode these very safeguards to our health, to support their own personal war-coffer collection needs. This is not acceptable. We are more important, as is our earth.
Please reach out to your neighbors and to political candidates to tell them what your concerns are. If you expect others to be your leaders, then you owe it to them and your community to say what you expect from their representation. If air and water quality are important to your health and your livelihood, let them know.
Knowing that huge financial drains are put on our government when industry is the source of severe health problems should make everyone care about air quality. We are the government’s money source that bankrolls the health issues. Air particulate is known to cause heart disease, emphysema and asthma. Building schools by highways is detrimental to children’s health; heavy metals in the air cause many kinds of cancers and lung diseases and a host of other illnesses. What is in the air is also in the water. Please care about the air you breathe and let your government work to protect the EPA rules that are already in place.
