Milwaukee police say suspicious box not dangerous
MILWAUKEE — A robot has removed a suspicious box from downtown Milwaukee where several streets were blocked off because of concerns the package might be explosive.
Police were called after someone was seen removing the box from the trunk of a vehicle early Tuesday and placing it in the street outside an apartment building. A robot was used to remove the device and police determined it was not explosive.
Capt. Don Gaglione tells WISN-TV the box had a fuse for a power line, but it was not dangerous.
Police have reopened the downtown streets.
