Lake Zurich 17, Vernon Hills 13: The visiting Bears won the North Suburban Conference opener as Jessica Kittle had 5 goals and an assist and Emily Handrahan added 4 goals.
Jaclyn Papa contributed 3 goals for Lake Zurich, and Rachel Krasavage and Sarah Frommelt each had two. Gina Barbaglia chipped in a goal and an assist.
