Man robs Bensenville bank

Bensenville police are working with the FBI in the search for a man in his early 40s who robbed a bank late Monday morning.

The suspect entered the Chase Bank at 123 W. Main St. and passed a note to a teller demanding money from her drawer, according to police.

Authorities responded to the reported armed robbery at 11:54 a.m., but the man had fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The offender was described as a white man between 40 and 45 years old, standing between 6 and 6 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build, according to police.

He was wearing a gray sweater and gray running pants with vertical blue stripes and was wearing sunglasses.

No bank employees were injured during the robbery, according to the FBI.

No weapon was shown during the robbery.
