Go on a musical journey with Buffalo Grove singers
Join the Buffalo Grove Park District’s BG Singers on a musical journey to places near and far as they perform their 19th annual show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the Stevenson High School Performing Arts Center, 1 Stevenson Drive, in Lincolnshire.
Directed by Linda Rosen and choreographed by Charla Silver, the theme for this year’s show, “Goin’ Places,” has something for everyone to enjoy as the chorus explores the world in many different musical styles.
“The BG Singers is a diverse group, spanning several generations,” says longtime member Gayle Pervos. “This show is great for us and for our audience, since we are covering everything from traditional arrangements to contemporary rock n’ roll, and all the favorite show tunes, jazz and pop songs in between.”
Song sponsorships are available for purchase by individuals or businesses, and a percentage of the funds raised this year will be donated to the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss.
Tickets for both performances are available at bigdealproductions.org. Advance sale tickets are $16 for children younger than 12 and seniors older than 62; $17 for adults. All tickets purchased at the door cost $18.
