DePaul-bound senior Morgan Maize (6-1) threw a 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts and no walks and also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run, 4 RBI and 3 runs.

Other top hitters for the Eagles were April Markowski (3-for-4, 2 triples, 3 RBI, 3 runs), Michelle Sansone (1-for-4, triple, 3 RBI), Jen Hall (2-for-3, 1 run), Dana Sullivan (1-for-4, double, run) and Denise Moran (1-for-4, 2 runs).

Leyden will host Maine West (5-3) in a noon doubleheader Saturday at the Rosemont Stadium.
