Judson University women’s basketball coach Jim Cook resigned on Wednesday, according to a statement released by the school.
Cook was on staff at Judson for eight years, involved in both the men’s and women’s programs. He is also the highly successful coach of Team USA on the girls basketball AAU circuit.
“I want to thank Jim for his contribution to Judson athletics over the last eight years and wish him well as he moves in a different direction in his life,” Judson interim AD Tony Tompkins said in the statement.
Cook was 87-112 in seven seasons as head women’s coach and went to the NAIA National Tournament in 2006, his first year. He was also the men’s coach from 2004-08 and went 53-66 with one CCAC championship. In 2008, the men’s team also qualified for the NAIA National Tournament.
