Senate bill puts marriage in danger
Gay “marriage” bill HB 5170 was entered on Feb. 8 by Illinois lawmakers Greg Harris, Deborah Mell and Kelly Cassidy, all practicing homosexuals. This bill replaces civil unions bill SB 1716. entered Nov. 30, 2010 — the needed votes coming “Springfield style” during the lame duck session.
At the time that civil unions were approved, many remarked that soon, under a “separate but equal” argument, marriage itself would be demanded. The homosexual “marriage” onslaught began in Massachusetts in November 2003, after denying the people the right to vote. Anyone thinking same-sex “marriage” is a benign eccentricity should consider what it has done to Massachusetts before welcoming it to Illinois. It soon became apparent that it was a tool to force the normalization of homosexuality on everyone.
High schools were forced to celebrate same sex “marriage,” as teachers announced they would be “marrying” their same-sex partner. Literature was distributed telling students homosexuality was now a normal part of society. An eighth-grade teacher told NPR that marriage since legal now opened up the floodgates to teach homosexuality. She added, “I now discuss gay sex with students as explicitly as I desire.”
Elementary schools were given picture books telling them same-sex couples were just another kind of family like their parents. Second-graders were given a book, “King and King” about men who marry. Parents who asked to opt out of the elementary schools were told that since same sex “marriage” is legal in Massachusetts, they have no obligation to notify them or let them opt out.
This is what is in store for Illinois should HB 5170 be passed. Wake up before it is too late and speak out to your legislators. Tell them that this is not what you want for children, family and country. Let them know that they destroy marriage at their own peril.
