Lakes Junior Eagles finish first in Richmond
The Lakes Junior Eagles sixth-grade boys travel basketball team concluded a remarkable season, winning the championship title in the Richmond-Burton Junior Rockets Invitational Tournament on March 18.
The Junior Eagles consist of players who will all feed into Lakes High School in Lake Villa.
The sixth-grade Junior Eagles recorded a 35-8 overall record on the season, and finished in first place in the Northern Illinois Boys Feeder Basketball Conference Prairie Division with a 9-1 record.
The Junior Eagles also won championship tournament titles in the Lakes Holiday Shoot-Out Tournament, McHenry Junior Warriors Tournament, and were runners up in the Lakes 8th Annual Invitational Tournament.
The team consists of Michael Behrendt, Parker Canning, Jacob Cardinell, Eric Jones, Cameron May, Logan McCann, Quinn McQuade, Matthew Mercure, Jeffrey Milostan, Wade Parmly and Ryan Selig.
The Junior Eagles are coached by Mike Milostan and Jeff Parmly.
