Wisconsin crews search Chippewa River for man
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — A search and recovery crew is looking for a man who plunged into the Chippewa River from a rail trestle in downtown Eau Claire, but so far has not been successful.
Firefighters continued the search Sunday and later called it off due to river conditions. The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram says a fisherman alerted authorities Saturday after spotting the man fall from the trestle. Authorities haven’t determined if the fall was intentional.
