Tax relief should start at the pump

It is imperative that the gasoline tax be suspended immediately. Cook County collects 6 cents per gallon, the state of Illinois collects 19 cents per gallon, and the federal government collects 18.4 cents per gallon. Suspending the gasoline tax would provide relief at the gas pump.
