Woodland science fair success

Some Woodland Elementary District 50 middle school students will participate in a science fair state competition May 5 at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. They are moving on by virtue of their success at a regional competition March 17. The students are: Alanna Martin, Andy Wuich, Anusha Jalasutram, Drew Sinclair, Emma Paukert, Gavin Zbynski, Gina Bernardini, Hannah Beyrer, Josh Goodman, Nathan Metz, Neil Madan, Santiago Olaya, Sarah Finkel, Zane Blevins, and Zuhair Khan. The district took first place Division D at the Regional Science Fair. More than 105 students participated in the middle school science fair in January, with 42 in the regional. “I would like to thank all the students for their dedication in taking this ‘imaginative adventure’ and creating such remarkable projects,” said science fair coordinator Sharon Anday.
