Lake County YMCA celebrates 100 years
Lake County Family YMCA will celebrate its 100 years of community impact by hosting a Casino Night celebration to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Doubletree by Hilton, 510 E Route 83,Mundelein.
“Many people don’t realize that we’re a cause-driven nonprofit that reinvests in the community,” Board Chair Bob Taylor said. “Our annual fundraiser enables us to keep the doors open to those in the community who cannot afford our programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”
The event will feature casino tables, music by the Jack Baron Quartet, dinner, and the raffle of a 2012 Chevy Camaro two-door CPE 1LT or cash prize. Winning ticket will be drawn at the event but winner need not be present. Raffle tickets are $50 each and only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
There will also be live and silent auctions.
Casino Night tickets are $100 each or two for $175. Y members’ price is $90 each or two for $160. Forty-eight percent of the ticket price is tax deductible (check with your tax adviser). Donations to the Y are 100 percent tax deductible.
Children ages 2 through 12 are invited to the Central Lake Y from 5:30-11 p.m. that evening for a nominal fee.

Proceeds from the event will support the Lake County Family YMCA comprised of Northern Lake Y in Waukegan, Central Lake Y in Vernon Hills and Early Head Start in Waukegan.
