Tri-Town YMCA needs your support
At the Tri-Town Y, strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with community members to address the most pressing needs in Lombard, Villa Park and Oakbrook Terrace to make sure that everyone — regardless of age, income or background — has the opportunity to learn and grow.
Our work is not easy, but real and lasting changes can only come about when we work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors; the first step to achieving these improvements is having the full support of the community. Tri-Town Y is different. It is a Y without walls; its activities take place in our communities and its impact is felt throughout.
A large focus of Tri-Town Y currently is collaborating with FORWARD, the health department, school districts and the villages' administrations to eliminate barriers to physical activity and healthy eating. Whether it's increasing physical activity options in the schools, a lift for seniors to safely enter a swimming pool or safer environments for children to walk to school — we are there.
These programs and services are so important to our residents and participants that they are the focus and purpose of our annual community support campaign. The need is great. Your financial gift to the campaign will help continue the important work the Y does, whether it is providing kids a safe place to learn and grow before or after school and during the summer or allowing families to experience fun adventures together and build the foundation for a positive, lifelong relationship.
We encourage everyone in the community to join our cause. To learn how you can support Tri-Town YMCA's campaign or to volunteer, please call Joanne Mitrenga at (630) 629-9622 or email info@tritownymca.org.
