Reduce the rate of global warming
I think most of us will agree that our earth is surrounded by a thin fragile atmosphere which we live and breath in. It has a finite amount of volume and is similar to a glass jar with a lid. Place a lighted candle inside the jar, close the lid and soon the jar will be darkened inside from the candle smoke and the candle will go out when the oxygen inside the jar is exhausted.
Billions of man-made fossil fuel-burning sources are doing the same thing to our earth’s finite atmosphere. Yes, our atmosphere can scrub out some of the pollutants, but we now produce more than it can scrub. The end result is obvious and is occurring right now. When we light a fireplace outside or inside, drive our poorly tuned car or idle the engine needlessly, we each help create more atmosphere pollutants.
Is the earth going through a natural cyclical warming? Perhaps, but man — you and I — is also creating our own global warming. It is up to us to slow this down.
