"With a large orchestra and amazing visual presentation, this show is an incredible experience," said Ron Onesti, owner of the Arcada Theatre. "Special effects through lighting, video footage and the live performance of the UIC Orchestra really create a once-in-a-lifetime video game experience."
Preshow elements include a costume contest, Guitar Hero competition, and interactive game demos. After the event, game composers and designers will meet with all ticket holders.
"'Video Games Live' bridges a gap for entertainment by exposing new generations of music lovers and fans to the symphonic orchestral experience while also providing a completely new and unique experience for families and non-gamers," Tallarico said. "It's not just a concert but a celebration of the entire video game industry for all ages."
