Meyer, Grayslake North roll again

Sophomore Kelly Meyer scored twice and added a pair of assists, as Grayslake North’s girls soccer team put on another offensive display Wednesday night.

The Knights beat Round Lake 9-1, giving them 16 goals in their last two games.

Grayslake North (3-0) also got goals from junior Jaclyn Brennan, senior Katie Lahera, senior Katie McGrath, senior Hannah Mitchem, senior Sara Steinhoff, senior Lyz Steinhoff and freshman Teagan Johnson. Senior Melissa Hohensee had 2 assists, while senior Maggie Stojak also had an assist.

“Tonight was another good game for us, as we continue to build on our recent success,” Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. “The girls did a good job of moving the ball around and playing as a unit both with the ball and without.”

Morgin Evins scored for Round Lake.
