St. Edward to honor alumni at dinner, dance

St. Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin will hold its 23rd annual Tidal Wave Auction Dinner/Dance on Saturday, April 14, at the Stonegate Centre in Hoffman Estates.

The theme for this year’s gala event, “Springtime in Paris,” will be highlighted by a raffle drawing to win a one-week trip for two to Paris including airfare. Items up for bid will include vacation stays, sports memorabilia, restaurant gift certificates, etc. All parents, alumni, family and friends are invited to attend. Cost is $100 per person which includes a gourmet dinner, open bar, DJ, dancing, and both silent and live auctions.

This year’s honorary chairman is David Kaptain, mayor of Elgin. Alumni of the Year awards will be presented to brothers Bob Fox, Class of ’57, and Geoff Fox, Class of ’58, founders of the motocross racing products companies, Fox Head Inc. and Fox Factory Inc.
